(Advanced
Skills Training) Course for the Tactical Medic
The
next level in TEMS training.
This course is a Train-The-Trainer level course and designed for
those that have already completed a Tactical Medic course.
This is a 24-hour (two-day)
course that is intended to provide an instructor level of
“medical skills” reinforced in a lab setting and then
up-dated on the latest EMT-T practices.
Goals
of the AST course
* advanced EMT-Tactical
training
* preparation to provide in-house TEMS training for
operators
* EMT-Tactical recertification
The AST
course serves as the Rescue Training EMT-Tactical

High-speed training utilizing the latest techniques in simulation
and role-play exercise.
Advanced field medicine including needle chest decompression,
suturing, cricothyrotomy, advanced airway management and
advanced bleeding control procedures including the latest in
TCCC application.
Performance of the above skills are perfected in the austere
environment including "officer down" scenario based exercises.
The
Tactical Medic course is designed to provide the Medic with the skills
necessary to support a tactical law enforcement team. as the
violence associated with drug activity and terrorism continues to
increase, the ability to have medics trained, qualified, and skilled
with this specialized talent is becoming a standard among tactical law
enforcement teams...objectives
RTI is a member of the Better
Business Bureau, National Tactical Officers Association, the
International Tactical EMS Association, the North Carolina Tactical EMS
Association, and the Florida SWAT Association.

ABOUT THE TRAINING
Rescue
Training Inc provides professional tactical medic training to
professional medics. This EMT-Tactical course is conducted by practicing
physicians, tactical paramedics, SWAT members, law enforcement
trainers, special forces medics, medical educators, and other experts in
tactical medicine.

TACTICAL MEDICINE
The 54 hour course is conducted over a five day
period. The program is constantly
being revised and
up-dated to deliver the latest tactical and medical
practices for military and civilian personnel including the latest
medical standards as established by the Committee on Tactical Combat
Casualty Care (TCCC) and medical standards as established by the
American College of Surgeons as outlined in "Pre-hospital Trauma
Life Support (PHTLS).
The RTI TEMS program utilizes expert instructors from all over the
country and are willing to bring the course to your location or
you can come to our facilities. Our training center is an over 10,000
sq ft full-time licensed medic / public safety training facility
located in historic Savannah, Georgia.

Rescue Training Inc is a registered
active contractor for the federal government and has received
several contracts for conducting EMT-Tactical training. Our
clients include the U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Army Rangers, 7th
Calvary, 82nd Airborne, 501 Airborne, several Nat'l Guard units, Pentagon Police,
Marine Security Force, U.S. Coast Guard, and several SWAT / police,
fire, and EMS agencies, the Artic Warriors of
4/25th Ft. Richardson, AK, and the 1st, and 4th Brigade 3rd ID, FT Stewart, GA. The RTI Tactical Medic training program is
approved by the U.S. Veterans Administration for use of the G.I.
Bill educational benefit. RTI is approved by the Georgia Department
of Human Resources to issue 45 EMS CEUs which is acceptable to the
National Registry of EMTs for recertification hours. Police officers
are eligible to receive POST certification of training hours.
Several Offices of Homeland Security have approved HS grants to be
utilized for the EMT-Tactical course provided by Rescue Training
Inc. |
